About this car
Gateway Classic Cars Chicago proudly presents the 1965 Oldsmobile 442. Step back into the golden age of American muscle with this beauty. As Oldsmobile’s serious answer to the burgeoning high-performance intermediate market, the '65 model year marked a pivotal evolution when the package received its legendary 400 cubic-inch powerplant. Finished in an eye-catching dark red paint job complemented by a sharp black factory-style interior, this ready-to-roll classic commands attention on the showroom floor and out on the open road. At the heart of this muscle car icon is a potent 400ci V8 engine paired to a crisp 4-speed manual transmission, this 442 delivers an authentic, high-revving muscle car driving experience. Keeping everything running cool and reliably is a 3-core aluminum radiator paired with an electric fan, alongside a manual choke for easy cold starts. Designed to handle as good as it looks, the 442 package comes equipped with heavy-duty suspension geometry. This example has been thoughtfully enhanced for modern drivability and confidence while maintaining its vintage soul. This vehicle can be seen in detail including 200+ HD pictures and an HD video at gatewayclassiccars.com. It is located at the Chicago Showroom, 1329 Commerce Drive, Crete, IL 60417
