The high-gloss black paint over the long, stretched fiberglass body, the mirrored T/Tops, the 2-tone interiors... THIS was Corvette in 1980! For the 1980 model, there were many weight-saving components that were introduced, including thinner body panels and an aluminum Dana-44 IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) differential and crossmember, all in the name of trimming down the extra bulk to offset the fact that the early 80s vehicles were being heavily burdened by the EPA. Regardless of the era, Corvettes have always stood the test of time and have remained one of the most desirable automobiles ever produced, and this 1980 Chevrolet Corvette is yet another example of the type of vehicle that everyone wanted to be seen in!
