The 1979 model year was the last year for the convertible Beetle which makes this car even more desirable. There were many upgrades done to the Beetle throughout its long production history and this car incorporates many of those improvements. The Bosch electronic fuel injection on this car ensures an easy start in all weather and increases horsepower and gas mileage. The Macpherson strut front suspension gives this Beetle better handling and ride than earlier models. Unlike many vintage VWs that have had questionable and not always beneficial modifications done, this Bug is just as the engineers at Volkswagen who designed these cars intended.
